Man gives up cat hunt

WINNIPEG, Ontario, July 4 (UPI) -- A Canadian man said Friday he had given up his week-long search at Winnipeg's airport for his missing cat.

Kevin Henry's cat, Target Head, got out of its cage at Winnipeg's airport June 26 when a latch on its cage unlocked and the door sprang open, the Canadian Broadcast Corp. reported.

"She hit the ground running, and no one's seen her since," he said.

Henry, a painter, said he would take a flight to Edmonton Saturday. He had been on his way to Alberta province for job interviews when his black cat escaped.

"Every time I walk into that airport, I just break out in tears like a schoolboy," Henry said of his efforts to find Target Head, who has been his companion for more than 10 years.

"It just hurts to be around here, and I'm just having a really bad feeling about this, so I have to go and take care of myself now, before I'm a total wreck."
