HAMPTON, Va., June 30 (UPI) -- A Hampton, Va., truck driver said he had a personalized license plate made for his car that expresses his disgust for the current high gas prices.
Gary Cooper said the new plate on his Mini Cooper reads "KMA OPEC," which he said is an invitation for the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries -- a group of nations that is heavily involved in determining oil supplies -- to kiss his posterior, the Newport News (Va.) Daily Press reported Monday.
"I have been thinking about doing something to protest gas prices and I just decided to do it," Cooper said. "I got fed up."
Cooper said he has been getting numerous positive responses to his license plate.
"People are honking the horn, laughing, and throwing thumbs up ... I love it," he said.
He said he is already considering future license plates.
"I have been thinking about what I might get next," Cooper said. "I'll probably get something that says 'Thank God Bush is gone.'"
