LONDON, June 30 (UPI) -- An employee of the Lego Group in Britain has unveiled what company officials said is the largest assembly of Lego Star Wars figures.

The company said the employee assembled 35,310 storm trooper figures from the upcoming "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" movie, The Times of London reported Monday.

Lego said the feat, which was timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the popular building toys, raised money to benefit Britain's National Autistic Society.

The accomplishment comes on the heels of another Lego-related record -- 50,000 Lego blocks were used by thousands of families to create a 100-foot tower resembling a Viking longboat mast at the Legoland theme park in Berkshire, England.
