Victoria's Secret unveils new swim wear collection in New York

LOS ANGELES, June 19 (UPI) -- A 52-year-old Los Angeles woman is suing Victoria's Secret, claiming one of its thongs snapped and a piece of metal scratched her cornea.

Macrida Patterson, who works in parking enforcement for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, filed a lawsuit stating she was hurt when either a pendant or a metal fastener snapped off of a pair of sexy underwear and caught her in the eye, ABC News reported.

"It does seem sort of unbelievable at first," Patterson's lawyer Jason Buccat told ABC News, insisting Patterson's injuries will "affect her for the rest of her life."

A Victoria's Secret spokeswoman said the lingerie company hadn't seen the lawsuit and had no comment.
