Swedish cowboy wrangles wayward llama

JONKOPING, Sweden, June 5 (UPI) -- A Swedish cowboy said he was driving by when he sprang into action, lassoing an escaped llama that was backing up traffic in Jonkoping.

The traffic jam could have been much more severe if Tommy Arvidsson hadn't showed up with his lasso Wednesday, the Swedish News Agency TT reported.

"I caught it with my lasso and held on until a truck arrived," he told reporters.

Arvidsson said he takes part in Western riding contests when he's not busy clearing the road of wayward llamas.

The llama initially took off when it was being moved onto a truck before leaving for a farm.
