LONDON, June 4 (UPI) -- British authorities have banned a controversial surgery that gave a porn actress her record-setting breasts.

Polypropylene string technique, the procedure that gave Maxi Mounds her 36MMM bust, has been banned in Britain due to safety concerns, The Sun reported Wednesday.

Mounds' chest is on the books as featuring the largest artificial breasts in the world.
