BUFFALO GROVE, Ill., May 28 (UPI) -- Police in Buffalo Grove, Ill., said a man has been charged with reckless driving after he backed his car onto and on top of a police cruiser.

Officers said Henry Raskin, 70, was pulled over for speeding Friday after he was found to be driving 58 mph in a 35 mph zone, the Arlington Heights (Ill.) Daily Herald reported Wednesday.

Raskin allegedly pressed the gas while in reverse after an officer gave him a ticket and his vehicle ended up on top of the police car.

"It appears to be a little bit more than a mistake," said Sgt. Scott Kristiansen. "We think it meets the criteria for reckless driving."

Raskin was released Friday after posting 10 percent of his $2,000 bond.
