EDINBURGH, Scotland, May 23 (UPI) -- A Scottish man who lost both of his testicles after a botched vasectomy is asking a court to award him $2 million in damages.

Daniel Stalker, 51, a married father of four, said he has suffered "12 years of agony and hell" since the operation in 1996, The Sun reported Friday.

Stalker claims Dr. Paul Dewart continued with the vasectomy operation despite his screams, and didn't stop until the patient vomited from the pain of feeling a surgical instrument inside an "unanaesthetized" part of his scrotum.

The plaintiff said his testicles had to be cut off in 1998 after they "grew to the size of tennis balls."

"The money won't give me my life back and will not take away the pain but it will hopefully help my family," Stalker was quoted as saying in The Sun's article. "I feel for them as I've tried to take my own life five times. The pain really is unbearable."
