ERFURT , Germany, May 23 (UPI) -- German travel firm OssiUrlaub.de announced it has canceled a planned nudist flight to a Baltic Sea island resort due to "moral objections."

The company said would-be passengers on the fully-booked July 5 flight would receive full refunds and vouchers for other services offered by the travel company, Deutsch Welle reported Friday.

A spokesman for OssiUrlaub.de said the company decided to cancel the 50-passenger flight after "moral objections" were raised by the media and visitors to the company's Web site.

The plane was to have departed the eastern German city of Erfurt with its passengers fully-clothed, but the holidaymakers would have been free to shed their threads once the plane was airborne.
