HOUSTON, May 18 (UPI) -- A drug raid at a Houston nightclub early Saturday was interrupted when a man driving a stolen ambulance hit several police cars involved in the raid.

The man was arrested a few blocks from the Pink Monkey after he crashed into a Houston Fire Department ambulance, The Houston Chronicle reported.

Officer Gabe Ortiz, a spokesman for the Houston Police Department, said the club was raided after an undercover officer obtained narcotics inside. Police arrested 130 people on charges of public intoxication, seven for drug distribution and three for drug possession.

More than 500 club patrons were released without charge.

The club manager was given a number of citations for fire and health code violations.
