COPENHAGEN, Denmark, May 9 (UPI) -- Officials in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, said they have placed talking trash cans in the city to help encourage people not to litter.

The trash cans, part of a plan by local officials to make Copenhagen the cleanest capital in Europe by 2015, thank users for depositing their garbage inside them and say: "Together we can keep the city clean," the Copenhagen Post reported Friday.
