Police: Stolen cameras recorded theft

GARDEN GROVE, Calif., May 8 (UPI) -- Police said security cameras that were stolen from a Garden Grove, Calif., business were switched on at the time and captured the theft on tape.

Investigators said the cameras caught 45 minutes of footage during the May 1 broad-daylight theft, depicting a bald man removing his jacket and smoking a cigarette while he removed four security cameras from outside Revco Industries, The Orange County (Calif.) Register reported Thursday.

Authorities said they had a good description of the thief.
