WELLINGTON, New Zealand, May 2 (UPI) -- Police in Wellington, New Zealand, said no one inside a home was injured when a 40-foot truck crashed into the bedroom of a sleeping woman early Friday.

The truck plowed through fences and power lines on three other properties before crashing into the bedroom of the woman, who escaped the house by climbing under the truck, The New Zealand Herald reported Friday.

Police said several other people were in the house at the time of the incident but none of them were injured.

"The person in the house is very lucky. She should be getting a Lotto ticket this weekend," police Sgt. Ron Walker told the Herald.

Police said the driver of the truck was treated for bruises and shock at Wellington Hospital, but was released later in the day. The driver's 12-year-old son, who was sleeping in the back of the truck at the time of the crash, was unharmed.
