LONDON, May 1 (UPI) -- Several theatergoers said they were shocked to see mice scampering about the floor of London's Aldwych Theatre during a production of "Dirty Dancing."

A number of audience members said the mouse sightings scared them so badly they had to leave and miss part of the show, The Daily Telegraph reported Thursday. One disappointed patron reportedly has called for a refund.

"The show was completely ruined by mice that invaded the auditorium. It ruined the evening completely for my wife and daughter, both of whom have serious phobias of mice. They were very upset," patron Steven Collins told The Daily Telegraph.

Bryan Lewis, who runs the theater, said the building was free of rodent problems and mice popped up there a mere "four or five times" in the past 18 months.

"I see mice on the Underground but I don't get a refund for my ticket," he said.
