Busted biker videotaped himself speeding

EUGENE, Ore., April 18 (UPI) -- Oregon state police arrested a motorcyclist who allegedly videotaped himself driving more than 100 mph on an interstate highway, officials said.

Police said that after they arrested Eugene resident Ben Howard Kelley, 37, for speeding on Interstate 5 they discovered he was recording his speedometer with a video camera attached to the bike, KPTV in Portland, Ore., reported Friday.

Kelley was charged with reckless driving .

The speedometer video showed the bike reaching speeds of 164 mph, KPTV said.

Senior Trooper Jeff Leighty reported the speeding biker to dispatch Sunday after the red and black 2007 Honda CBR zoomed past his post at 115 mph, state police said.

Kelly was being held at the Lane County Jail while awaiting an appearance in county circuit court.
