LOS ANGELES, April 10 (UPI) -- The owner of a Los Angeles landscaping business turned in $140,000 in cash he found on the road while driving to a job, police said.

Eli Estrada, 40, said the first thing he thought was, "I'm rich," when he found several bundled wads of unmarked $20 bills in a bag while going to work last month, the Los Angles Times reported Thursday.

"That's just your first reaction. But it's not yours and you feel nervous and you feel like you did something wrong, even though you didn't," Estrada said.

Estrada promptly turned the money over to police, despite the fact he needed it after recently opening his own landscaping business. He also supports and shares his home with his mother, the Times reported.

Officials said the cash belonged to drivers of Brinks armored vehicles. The security company rewarded Estrada with $2,000 for handing over the cash.
