LONDON, March 22 (UPI) -- More than two-thirds of people in Britain associate Easter with chocolate, while nearly 10 percent think of Easter as a long holiday weekend, a survey found.

More than 10 percent of Britons see Easter as having no religious connotations at all, said the survey conducted by British luxury chocolate retailer, Hotel Chocolat.

The survey also found that people in Britain see receiving chocolate Easter eggs as nearly 10 times more important than spending time with family during the Easter holiday.

More than half of Britons consider cheap chocolate as the worst thing about Easter eggs, and would rather pay extra for quality chocolate. In fact, the survey said people preferred a smaller egg, if it is of higher quality chocolate.

Different professions have different attitudes about Easter. Those working in the legal and education sectors are least likely to think of Easter as a religious festival, while 80 percent in human resources departments think chocolate eggs are the only thing that matters during Easter, and those who work in healthcare most look forward to the extra time off.
