LEESBURG, Va., March 18 (UPI) -- A woman's driving exam in Leesburg, Va., abruptly ended when she crashed her car into the Department of Motor Vehicles service center.

Nita Sureka, 28, put a gash into the wall of the facility with her 2000 Volkswagen Jetta while she was attempting to park as part of a test to obtain her driver's license, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

The incident caused the DMV to close for the remainder of the day Saturday. Sureka was slapped with a reckless driving charge.

Police spokesman Jeffrey Dube said the student driver may have simply been nervous rather than reckless, but the distinction is up to the judge to make.
