HALLAND, Sweden, March 7 (UPI) -- A Halland, Sweden, tattoo artist has been ordered to pay a fine and $1,630 in damages to a female customer after he tattooed his name on her stomach.
The 19-year-old woman said her tattoo was meant to honor a deceased relative with a heart and accompanying text, but she was shocked to find the text was the artist's name instead of what she had requested, the Swedish News Agency reported Friday.
The tattoo artist, who was fined 80 days pay after his conviction for causing bodily harm, claims the woman gave him permission to write his name. The customer said the artist asked, but she answered in the negative.
