Catholic clergy to shoot hoops in Rome

ROME, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- A Catholic organization has announced the creation of a basketball tournament open to all clergymen and students at Rome's pontifical colleges.

The Clericus Cup basketball competition is being organized by the Christian sports organization Centro Sportivo Italiano, ANSA reported Thursday.

Centro Sportivo Italiano, which had a Clericus Cup soccer championship last year, said its mission is to promote education through sports.
