AMARILLO, Texas, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- A two-faced kitten in Amarillo, Texas, died just one day after he was born, the kitten's owner said.

Renee Cook was caring for the two-mouthed, two-nosed and four-eyed kitten at the Clements Prison Unit where she works as a nurse, when he died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, the Amarillo Globe-News reported Thursday.

"It was like he wanted people to see him. It was like he was saying, 'Here I am, world. Come see me.' He just didn't last very long," Cook said.

Cook said the cat was feisty all night and didn't seem to want to be covered up.

"He was meowing and eating, and all of a sudden, it was like something popped," she said. Cook's children, Monica, 9, and Alex, 7, named the kitten "Harry Potter" so that each of his faces could have a name, the Globe-News said.
