NEW YORK, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- The New York City street performer known as the Naked Cowboy is cheering the removal of two video billboards he says infringed on his image.
The New York Post said Friday that the Times Square billboards featuring M-and-M candies decked out in the Cowboy's familiar hat, boots and underwear, have disappeared.
The Cowboy, whose real name is Robert Burck, told the Post he is certain the steps were taken in response to his $6 million lawsuit. The sidewalk singer's lawyer sent a cease-and-desist letter to Mars Inc. last month.
The candy company declined comment.
