EASINGWOLD, England, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- A 5-year-old English boy with his parents on a stop at a cash machine discovered the bank branch was unlocked 19 hours after it had closed for the weekend.

Oliver Pettigrew and his father walked around inside the HSBC Bank branch in Easingwold, Yorkshire, without setting off any alarms, the Daily Mail reported. Then Daniel Pettigrew called police.

"Thank goodness it was our family who found it and not a criminal," said Alison Pettigrew, the boy's mother.

While HSBC said its branches have alarms to catch unauthorized intruders, police said the only call they got about the open door was from the Pettigrew family.
