DEWSBURY , England, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- A British man in gothic dress and his leash-wearing fiancee said they were barred from boarding a bus by a driver who told them no "dogs" were allowed.
Dani Graves, 25, and Tasha Maltby, 19, said they were refused service by the same bus driver on three occasions, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.
"He shoved me off the bus," Graves said of his first encounter in December. "He called us freaks and he called Tasha a dog. He said, 'We don't let freaks and dogs like you on.'"
"He basically grabbed my T-shirt and slammed me backward. I got a bit
angry and called him a fascist pig."
He said on the second occasion -- which occurred after a bus depot manager promised to address his complaint -- the same driver refused to allow anyone else on board until the couple exited.
Graves said he encountered the driver one more time, when he attempted to flag down a bus but instead was forced to watch as the driver smiled at him and continued driving.
"I have been a goth most of my life and it's the first time I've come across anything like this. It's crazy," he said.
