The large instruments -- cousins of the tuba that are commonly used by marching bands -- were taken from the marching band room at the school, the Raleigh (N.C.) Chronicle reported Thursday. Advertisement Durham Police Cpl. Marty Walkowe said the Durham CrimeStoppers organization is offering a reward for information about the theft, which police believe occurred sometime in December or early January.
