DES MOINES, Iowa, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Members of a Des Moines, Iowa, high school swim team were suspects in the decorating of cars of a rival team with stolen pig fetuses.

Members of the Roosevelt High School swim team are thought by some to have put the fetuses, believed to have come from a high school biology lab, on car antennas at Dowling Catholic High School in retaliation to being bombarded with snowballs after the two schools' recent match, the Des Moines Register reported Monday.

"I'm ashamed they bring this kind of publicity to the swim team. There are a lot of great kids that come out of this program," said Roosevelt head coach Steve Teter. "It's really sad when one or two kids make everyone else look bad."

The pig incident "is also being handled by the administration, who will determine what disciplinary action is appropriate," Teter told the Register.

Since the incident is still in the investigation stage, officials at Roosevelt High School aren't ready to admit their students pulled the prank.

Dowling won the swim meet 99-71 last Monday
