GPS for Russia's top dog? Perhaps

MOSCOW, Dec. 25 (UPI) -- No lost Labs for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who expressed interest in buying a device linking his dog to the Russian navigation satellite.

A new device for vehicles linked to Glonass, similar to a GPS navigation system, was to go on sale this week, and a device for pets is set to debut next year, Russia's news agency Novosti reported.

"I'll be able to buy one for my dog, Connie," so she can be found in case she runs away, Putin said.

Connie gained fame in 2005 after "publishing" a book of stories for Russian children. Written in English and geared toward younger readers, "Connie's Stories" tells the tale of the black Labrador's adventures.
