Linda Bradley of Omaha said her husband Bill received a package while at work at Builders Supply in Ralston and to his surprise it contained $2,000 cash, Omaha's KETV-TV reported Monday.
The return address on the box read "Santa."
Bradley said the money couldn't have come at a better time for the couple, who support four children and one grandchild.
"His job is in construction. There's not a lot of business because of the weather and they're cutting back on hours," said the mother.
The anonymous Christmas gift will go toward presents and unpaid bills.
"All the kids were going to get $20; that's all we could afford," said Bradley.
She added that next Christmas she would like to pay for the good deed by helping out another family in need.
