DANBURY, Conn., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- A Connecticut woman stands accused of being a little naughty with Santa Claus.
Sandrama Lamy of Danbury is to appear in court Jan. 3 on a charge of fourth-degree sexual assault and breach of peace for allegedly groping Santa at the Danbury Fair mall last weekend, WFSB-TV in Rocky Hill reported Tuesday. The mall Santa told police Lamy had touched him inappropriately while sitting on his lap.
"It's a false report and I don't have any idea," a woman who returned a call seeking comment the TV station left on Lamy's answering machine said Tuesday.
"Santa Tim" Connaghan, president of RealSantas.com, told the station he's never heard of such an incident.
"I've had some very nice ladies sit on my lap," Connaghan said. "Once in a while they'll say 'I hope Mrs. Claus isn't going to be upset.' You have to be discreet and kind and say 'Oh no, she'll be OK. You can sit here, but only for one photo.'"
