HALLAND, Sweden, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- A Swedish tattoo artist is being charged with willful bodily harm after signing his name on a tattoo he did for a woman.
The client in question wanted a tattoo of a heart accompanied by the caption, "You will always be in my heart," The Local reported Monday.
The woman later returned to the artist's studio in Halland to have the name of her loved one added to the tattoo and he asked if he could write his own name to advertise his business.
The woman claims she declined the offer, but the inker did it anyway.
"I was shocked and taken aback," she told Halland's Nyheter. She says the only way she can get rid of the tattoo is through laser surgery, which she expects to leave her scarred.
The tattoo artist also claims his customer gave her consent and said he has not committed any offense.
"She said 'yes.' I then asked her at least five more times," he told police.
