Florida man robbed twice in same night

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- A man in Florida likely had the most unlucky night of his life recently when he was robbed by different people within the span of a few minutes.

The South Florida Times-Union said Sunday that while having $35 in cash taken from him in Jacksonville Friday was bad enough, Paul Gibbs was shocked when his car was stolen moments later.

The unlucky night began when Gibbs stopped at a local gas station, only to have an unidentified man grab the $35 out of his hand.

While most people would have let the man flee with the money, Gibbs chased the thief in his car. Eventually, Gibbs left his car to chase the suspect on foot.

Unfortunately for Gibbs, he forgot to take his car keys with him.

Police told the Times-Union that while Gibbs pursued the initial thief, two other men decided to take advantage of the situation and made off with his car.
