BERLIN, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- The foreign ministers of France and Germany have joined to record a song celebrating their efforts toward the integration of immigrants.

Bernard Kouchner of France and Frank-Walter Steinmeier of Germany recorded the tune on the sidelines of a joint council of ministers in Berlin, The Daily Telegraph reported Tuesday.

"Next to all the errors, next to all the failures of integration, there are some types of cooperation that succeed," Steinmeier said.

"Here we can see that we both profit from each other's culture," he said.

However, the newspaper said listeners may not agree with Kouchner's suggestion that "we should do this more often."
