LUND, Sweden, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Serial throwing of eggs at an elderly couple's house has proved costly for a Swedish man and his teenage son.
The pair, appearing in Lund District Court, have been assessed 47,000 kroner (almost $7,500) in fines and penalties, The Local reported.
Sydsvenskan, a newspaper in southern Sweden, said the crime spree began last spring when the 18-year-old told his father he was having trouble with a bully in school. They bought a carton of eggs and set out to vandalize the bully's car.
When the two could not find the car, they picked out a house at random. Apparently they discovered that they enjoyed egg-throwing and returned repeatedly to the same house.
The couple, sick of being targeted, finally got a license plate number and called police.
Confronted by police, each of the suspects blamed the other.
