Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe LANCASTER, Pa., Oct. 25 (UPI) -- In a story that tugs at the heart strings, a violin is being credited with perhaps saving the life of a Pennsylvania boy who was hit by a drunken driver. Police said nine-year-old Ben Stutzman was walking to school when the vehicle hit him in a crosswalk, WGAL-TV, Lancaster, Pa., reported Thursday. The fourth-grader was carrying his violin case. Advertisement "I remember someone sitting me up on the sidewalk and said I had flown 10 feet in the air," Stutzman told the TV station. "The car mostly hit the violin and it took most of the impact." Stutzman suffered cuts and bruises on his face in Wednesday's accident. His violin was destroyed. Police arrested the driver of the car, Dayton Cassel, 20, charging him with hit-and-run, DUI and speeding.
