LONDON, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A hotel in Britain is letting fans of the movie "The Shining" experience their own living nightmare through the use of gory props and other shocking sights.

By renting one of the Alton Towers Hotel's new Scare Rooms, those who were thrilled by the 1980 horror film starring Jack Nicholson can now live their own hotel fears thanks to a series of frights planned by hotel officials, The Guardian said Friday.

For those willing to pay costs starting at $94 a night per person, actors will bombard Scare Room residents with a variety of shocking props and unexpected visits throughout their nightly stay.

Each of the five specialized rooms has been decorated with blood-stained walls and bathed in the eerie glow from the corresponding red lighting.

The British newspaper said the rooms, created for the Halloween season, also come with a revolving cast of frightening nocturnal guests, ranging from an evil clown to a demonic butcher carrying slabs of rotten meat.
