HOBART, Ind., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- An Indiana woman said she’ll be walking for a while after one tough snake took up residence under the hood of her car and refused to leave.
Robin Gill was spending a peaceful Thursday afternoon at a tavern in Hobart when a passerby came in and announced that a 5-foot-long snake had slithered into the engine compartment of a Pontiac parked outside.
The Northwest Indiana Times said Gill and as many as 10 volunteers tried any number of ways to catch or chase the snake away, but no dice. Gill decided to leave the vehicle where it was and walk home.
"I hate snakes more than anything else," Gill lamented to the Times. "What are the odds of this happening?"
