XIAN, China, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Some college girls in Xian, the ancient capital city for 13 Chinese dynasties, are preserving their own history in the nude.
Through photography, modern-day women are revealing their bodies with an appreciative nod to the women of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), The China Daily reported Friday.
A set of photos costs between $120 and $600.
"I think it's worth the money. I can leave my most beautiful time eternally on the negative and photos," a 20-year-old girl told China Daily on condition of anonymity. "As an adult, I know what I am doing and of course have the freedom to do this, if I like."
A photographer says college students have a different attitude toward photographing the body nude, long considered a taboo in China.
"They now appreciate nudity and consider it an art," he said.
