LAS VEGAS, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- A Las Vegas wedding chapel is attempting to regain its license after being accused by its competition of being overly aggressive in its marital services.

Officials at several other Las Vegas marriage locales had accused The Garden of Love of unfair business practices, including vandalism and harassment, prompting the chapel to lose its business license, Las Vegas' KLAS-TV said Wednesday.

"We had our tires slashed, our cars keyed, followed around, doing crazy stuff. They will call you and harass you and stuff like that," A Special Memory Wedding Chapel official Larry Threadgill alleged of his business competitors.

While The Garden of Love has been the target of more than two dozen complaints to date, chapel official Tory Manvilla has defended his site's aggressive policies towards marriage recruitment.

"Out of nine or 10 chapels here, we are the only one that gets shut down. Everybody is doing the same things that we are doing. It's because there are a lot of politics on this. There are a lot of wedding chapels here that have a lot of influence on the mayor," he told KLAS-TV.
