MADISON, Wis., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- The Madison, Wis., creators of the YouTube hit series "Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager" have quit their old jobs and are working full time on a second season.
More than a year ago, improvisational actors Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda launched the project, which parodies the "Star Wars" films and features Chad Vader, Dart Vader's lesser known brother.
Since the first of eight episodes was posted on YouTube, there have been more than 19 million views of the 5- to 6-minute clips about Vader working in a grocery store.
"Chad Vader definitely gets us in pretty much any door in the entertainment industry," Yonda told The New York Times. "We had the interest of a lot of people before Chad Vader but Chad has made us more of a hot commodity."
Their manager, Kara Welker of the Generate agency in Los Angeles said the pair has no plans to leave Madison.
"In this day and age, you don’t have to live in Hollywood any more. It’s not the 1920s," Welker told the Times.
