MARYSVILLE, Ohio, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- An Ohio couple have three children born on the same date, not because they are triplets, but by the hand of chance.

Ayden Cotton was born Oct. 2, 2003. Three years to the day later, Logan Cotton arrived four days earlier than expected, The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch reported.

And Kayla Cotton was born Tuesday. Her mother, Jenna, went from her sons’ birthday party to the doctor and then to the hospital, where Kayla arrived just after 7 p.m.

Bill Notz, a statistician at Ohio State University, told the newspaper that the odds of having three children with the same birthday are about 7.5 in a million. But he said that given the millions of families in the world the odds of somebody having those children are almost a certainty.

Jenna Cotton and her husband, William, have no plans to test the odds any further. They told the Dispatch their family is now complete.
