Bartolini was arrested Friday after an investigation revealed he had been offering venomous snakes for sale or trade from his home in Las Vegas for three years.

When U.S. Fish and Wildlife agents raided his house they found 48 snakes of various species, a caiman, a Gila monster and an alligator snapping turtle, prosecutors told the newspaper.

Among the snakes Bartolini is charged with attempting to sell are seven green mambas, two forest cobras, one black-necked spitting cobra, two Great Basin rattlesnakes, a Mohave sidewinder rattlesnake and a southwestern speckled rattlesnake.
