WIGAN, England, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- The owner of a sandwich bar in the English town of Wigan has been ordered to stop making deliveries to pupils at a local high school.

Pupils at Standish High School began phoning in orders to the Standish Kitchen owned by Michael Daley after they were barred from leaving the school at lunch to buy food. Now, police have told him he isn't welcome, The Daily Mail reported.

"The children told me the head (master) was not happy with me delivering,” he told The Daily Mail. "But I couldn't believe the police got involved.”

Daley said he hasn't been feeding Standish pupils junk food, that the most popular item is a chicken wrap involving chicken cooked in oil.

“I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong,: he added. “It’s crazy.”

But Hugh Crossan, the school headmaster, who said that Standish was the first school in Wigan to win a Healthy School Award, argues that children who don't like what is on the menu can ask for an in-school substitute, The Daily Mail reported.
