ATLANTA, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Four men in Atlanta wanted a bird's-eye view of the city at night, so they scaled an 18-story construction crane to check out the vista, police said.
A security guard called authorities after spotting the quartet -- including a gent wearing a Superman T-shirt -- atop the crane after hours a construction site near Piedmont Park, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Three of the four followed officers' commands to come down from the crane, said Atlanta police Officer B.M. Reid. The fourth hid at the top of the crane but later descended after a police helicopter spotlight was aimed at him.
"It was a diversion, what they called fun," Reid said.
The four were charged with prowling, the officer told the Journal-Constitution.
