CARLISLE, England, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- A British family fled their home after experiencing what the mom said was a night of horror she blames on a poltergeist.
Allison Marshall, 27, took her four children out of their home in Carlisle after seeing what she said were several spooky and violent incidents, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday. The family is staying at Marshall's mother's home nearby.
Eerie events included objects being tossed about the living room, creepy noises heard during the night, sudden drops in temperature and the image of a skull in a display cabinet.
Marshall said the problems started on Aug. 30. She said she became so concerned that she contacted a clairvoyant, who visited the house last weekend, the British newspaper said.
"I don't know if I can go back there because I still feel scared," Marshall said. "I've lived in that house for four years and always been happy."
