LONDON, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- A British woman attending an art exhibit had a singular experience when she saw her own heart on display -- at least it was her heart before the transplant.
Jennifer Sutton, 23, got a new one three months ago. She looked upon the old one at The Heart exhibit at the Wellcome Collection, The Times of London reported Wednesday.
Sutton said she was disgusted when she first saw her old ticker, but later it seemed unreal to her.
"Because it was mine, I was like, wow, that's my heart, I just couldn't stop grinning," Sutton told the Times. "It's odd to think that I was stood here alive and that was part of me once upon a time."
Curator James Peto said Sutton's heart was "one of the most thought-provoking features of the exhibition."
Besides the heart, which Sutton donated, the exhibit includes works from Leonardo da Vinci, Andy Warhol and the Egyptian Book of the Dead.
