Recent complaints have come from the Church of England and the Board of Deputies, a group representing Britain's Jews, The Sunday Mail reported. Advertisement The BBC this week removed a reference to Jesus as a "bastard" posted more than a week ago as part of the discussion of the death of the Archbishop of Paris, the British newspaper reported. The BBC also has been criticized for posting anti-Semitic comments attacking the Talmud and portraying Jews as liars. The BBC removes posts, a spokesman insisted, if they are considered likely to "provoke attack or offend others or are considered racist, homophobic, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable."
