Police said Timothy Armstead followed the suspect out of the bank in DeKalb County Tuesday, put him in a chokehold and held him for police. Advertisement The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said Armstead, 27, was already in a grumpy mood due to a discrepancy in his account, and blew off some steam by lecturing the immobilized robber. "What I did was something to stop all the stupidity going on," the former leatherneck told the newspaper. Police said the suspect demanded $2,000 from the teller, pulled the pin on the fire extinguisher and threatened to blow up the building.
