BRISTOL, England, July 10 (UPI) -- A 51-year-old British diver recently captured a 3-foot lobster that had attacked him, placing the cranky crustacean in a bag before heading back to shore.
Chris Hovard of Britain's Dorset County said the lobster aggressively came after him while he was diving last weekend, but he was able to grab the agitated animal and place into a sting bag, the BBC said Tuesday.
"I was swimming around it when the lobster came at me, its claws snapping," Hovard said. "I could hardly get my hand across the back of its shell."
"You'd need a saddle to ride it," he added. "I managed to get it with a pincer movement."
The lobster weighed in at more than 10 pounds, and Hovard affectionately named the animal "Lemmy" from the moniker used by Motorhead singer Ian Kilmister.
The BBC said "Lemmy" is currently at Sea Life Park in the town of Weymouth.
