Yankees 'speak to' Rodriguez about wife

NEW YORK, July 3 (UPI) -- New York Yankees management won't reveal what was said to superstar Alex Rodriguez's wife about wearing an obscene T-shirt to a game.

The New York Post featured on its front page a picture of Cynthia Rodriguez wearing the blue top that said "F - - - You" on the back. It was taken at Sunday's game at Yankee Stadium.

General Manager Brian Cashman told reporters Monday he had spoken with the third baseman and his 34-year-old wife about the incident, but refused to reveal what was said.

"It stays in this family and in this house," he said.

Approached by reporters separately, neither of the couple would comment on the shirt, which the Post said cost $70 at an upscale New York boutique.
