Python found by road in Wales

GWEHELOG, Wales, June 25 (UPI) -- The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said a 15-foot python was found at the side of the road in Gwehelog, Wales.

The RSPCA asked that the owner of the snake, which is not poisonous but is large and powerful enough to cause injury, come forward, Sky News reported Monday.

The breed of reticulated python is known for its potential aggressiveness and standoffish personality.

The RSPCA said a member of the public called officers to the scene to remove the reptile.
